What HytaleDB is

HytaleDB documents the contents of Hytale as structured data: items, crafting and salvage recipes, NPCs and creatures, drop tables and item qualities. Every entity page on this site is generated from a validated database — nothing is typed in by hand, and every page states exactly which snapshot it was generated from.

Where the data comes from

Data is extracted from the game files distributed through the official Hytale launcher and stored as immutable, content-hashed snapshots. A snapshot is a complete, read-only record of the game data for one specific Hytale version — the current site is built from snapshot0.6.8-80059944 (Hytale 0.6.8).

How the data is processed

A reproducible pipeline turns raw game files into this website:

1. Extraction — game assets and definitions are pulled from an installed copy of Hytale.
2. Parsing — raw definitions are parsed and normalized.
3. Resolution — inheritance, references and relationships between entities are resolved and validated.
4. Semantic model — resolved entities become a typed model (items, recipes, NPCs, drops, qualities, localization).
5. Materialization — the model is written to a deterministic SQLite database.
6. Publication — a public API serves the database, and this site is generated as static HTML from it.

The pipeline keeps canonical crafting recipes distinct from embedded salvage definitions, keeps ambiguous references visible instead of guessing, and preserves drop weights exactly as the game defines them.

Localization

The game data itself contains translations for several languages. This site currently publishes English only; additional languages will be enabled once their content is fully translated — localized pages get their own URLs when that happens.

Limitations

• Hytale is in active development, so any snapshot reflects one moment in time — not necessarily the newest game version.
• Drop weights are relative weights, not probabilities; the site never converts them.
• Some references in the game data are ambiguous or unresolved; where that happens, it is shown honestly instead of guessed away.
• Item and NPC images come straight from the game files and are published as a versioned release on our CDN; entities without artwork in the game data show a neutral placeholder instead.

HytaleDB is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hypixel Studios. Hytale and related names are trademarks of their respective owners; all game data is extracted from publicly distributed game files.
